EMERGENCY DENTIST IN SAN DIEGO

At Dentique, we specialize in treating dental emergencies. If you or your child has experienced mouth trauma, a broken or knocked out tooth, or sudden onset tooth pain, Dr. Rahbar can help.

BROKEN, CHIPPED OR KNOCKED OUT TEETH

Accidents happen. Whether it's the result of a fall, pre-existing condition or a sports injury, teeth sometimes break, chip off, or fall out completely. If trauma has been sustained to the mouth, it's important to contact an emergency dentist immediately. Waiting too long after an injury occurs often makes it more difficult to fix a problem, or re-attach a tooth that has fallen out.

A SUDDEN TOOTHACHE OR TOOTH PAIN

Oftentimes, an oral health issue can exist for weeks, months, even years before symptoms arise, and when they do occur, they can be sudden and extremely painful. Intense, debilitating tooth pain can arise overnight, even. Pain can be a sign of a number of problems, including an infection. Dr. Rahbar can assess your situation and help relieve your discomfort with a prescribed course of action. If a X-rays are needed, or surgical procedure needs to be performed, such as a root canal, she will explain every step along the way.

YOUR EMERGENCY DENTIST APPOINTMENT

Call us. At Dentique, we reserve special appointments for dental emergencies. Dr. Rahbar offers flexible evening hours, as well as last-minute emergency appointments, to better fit your schedule and get you in quickly to find a solution to your problem.

If you or your child has lost a tooth as a result of trauma or an injury, it's important to properly care for the tooth before you arrive at the dentist office. Once the missing tooth is located, rinse it with milk or water (do not wipe). Try to fit the tooth back into the socket. If it will not stay in place, hold the tooth between your gums and cheek. This is the best way to maintain the moisture of the tooth and its root. If a child cannot do this, or the task proves too daunting, place the tooth in a glass of milk and bring it to your dental appointment.
